London's Quireboys have long been the scrappy, whiskey-soaked underdogs of the late-'80s hard rock scene, more indebted to the Faces and early Rolling Stones than to anything that smelled like hairspray. *God Bless America* collects the highlights from their American chapter, a period when their barroom swagger and Spike's graveled rasp found a natural home on this side of the Atlantic.
