Sarah Chadwick has built a devoted following through brutally honest songwriting that strips away every layer of artifice, and this pairing of two releases on a single LP captures her at her most unguarded. The Melbourne-based artist trades in raw, confessional rock that feels closer to a late-night conversation than a performance. Kill Rock Stars, the storied indie label that helped platform voices like Sleater-Kinney and Elliott Smith, continues that tradition of championing artists who don't soften their edges.
