Pearl Jam – Vitalogy (CD)

Released in 1994, *Vitalogy* marked a turning point where Eddie Vedder and company started pushing hard against the commercial machinery that had made them famous. The album's restless, sometimes abrasive choices , from the accordion-driven detours to the deliberate noise , reflected a band determined to outlast the fame on their own terms, and it worked. Thirty years on, it holds up as one of the more honest documents of that entire era.
