The New York Dolls practically invented the blueprint that punk and glam rock spent the next five decades following, and their third album *Cuz I Sez So* arrived in 2009 with the surviving members proving they still had plenty left to say. Produced by Todd Terry, it's a record that exists firmly in the tradition of a band that never needed anyone's permission to be exactly what they were.
