Knox built his following the old-fashioned way, song by song, turning bedroom-pop confessionals into arena-sized anthems that resonate with anyone who grew up with a skateboard, a broken heart, and a playlist full of Fall Out Boy. My Midwest Best captures that same spirit of regional pride and youthful urgency that made the mid-2000s Midwest punk scene so magnetic, pressed here on Pure Denim vinyl that's as much a collectible as it is a listen.
Knox revamps, revitalizes, and re-energizes emo and pop-punk with a fresh punch. After piling up hundreds of millions of streams, selling out shows, and earning critical acclaim, he returns home sonically and emotionally on his second full-length album, My Midwest Best. These 12 tracks uncork a burst of Warped Tour-appropriate energy tailormade for soundtracking a montage from your favorite teen comedy, the best date you’ve ever been on, or a festival set at sundown.
