Ikue Mori built her reputation in the late 1970s New York no wave scene as drummer for DNA, then quietly transformed herself into one of the most singular voices in laptop and electronic improvisation, collaborating across decades with the likes of John Zorn, Derek Bailey, and Bill Laswell. The visual dimension here isn't an afterthought; it reflects a long-standing commitment to multimedia performance that has made her a fixture in avant-garde circles far beyond the downtown Manhattan scene where she first emerged.
A special CD/DVD package by Ikue Mori, one of the most accomplished and acclaimed masters of electronic music alive today. Here she illustrates some of her greatest musical masterpieces with an imaginative collection of videos starring her family of handmade dolls and puppets that interact with startling animated backgrounds and mysterious stage sets. Featuring her closest musical cohorts who assist in these mythic tales of fantasy, science fiction, Japanese ghosts, and more, Enchanted and Delighted is her greatest achievement to date.
