Columbus has quietly built one of the more interesting underground punk scenes in the Midwest, and Hummusvacuum fits right into that tradition of bands who use absurdity as a delivery system for something genuinely felt. Art Of A Fake Laugh suggests a band wrestling with the performance of emotion itself, which is about as honest a premise as punk gets.
Sorbet Colored Vinyl. Bridging the gap between humor and sincerity, Hummusvacuum is a tongue-in-cheek Emo Punk outfit based out of Columbus, Ohio. Mixing earnest, anthemic emo songs with fast-paced eccentrics, Hummusvacuum aims to bridge the gap between Punk Rock and humorous sensibilities in a way that feels fresh.
