By 1975, Herbie Hancock had already reshaped jazz twice over, first with Miles Davis and then with his own Mwandishi and Headhunters records. Man-Child pushed deeper into electric funk territory, featuring an extraordinary cast of collaborators including Wayne Shorter, Harvey Mason, and members of the Headhunters, capturing a moment when jazz and funk were genuinely the same conversation.
2013 33 rpm standard sleeve.
