Inspired by a Stella Mozgawa beach-side story, 'Lotta Sea Lice' was born out of indie-rock artists Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile's friendship between each other – developed from constantly running into each other, whilst they were on their respective tours. Natural collaboration transpired over eight days in the studio spread over almost 15 months, with the duo serving harmonies and 'guitarmonies' galore throughout the record.
