Riley B. King spent decades building one of the most recognizable voices in American music, both in his throat and in Lucille, his beloved Gibson guitar. A compilation drawing from his MCA years captures a bluesman who never stopped refining his craft, blending the raw Delta inheritance he absorbed growing up in Mississippi with the sophisticated swing and soul he developed into a singular, endlessly influential style.
