Washington State's Allen Stone arrived with this self-titled debut like a transmission from another era, his gospel-soaked baritone and Stax-influenced soul writing landing him festival stages and devoted fans long before mainstream R&B caught up. Raw, direct, and deeply felt, it's the record that introduced a generation of jam-friendly crowds to a voice that sounds like it was born in a church and raised on Muscle Shoals.
Limited white colored vinyl LP pressing.
