Alison Moyet's voice has always been one of the great instruments in British pop, capable of carrying equal weight in the smoky corners of Yazoo's early-'80s synth minimalism and the rootsier territory she explored through the '90s. *The Minutes* found her reclaiming that electronic foundation on her own terms, a decade after she'd stepped back from recording entirely.
The critically acclaimed electronic, synth-pop-driven album the minutes (2013) is reissued on Limited Edition Heavyweight Turquoise Smoke Vinyl. Alison Moyet's eighth studio album is a spectacular return to her electronic roots. A bold new collaboration with writer/producer Guy Sigsworth, the album showcases an experimental, captivating and entirely cohesive collection of songs. Offering sharp synth lines, artful programming, and her signature commanding vocals, the album reached Number 5 on the UK Albums Chart. It features standout tracks like 'When I Was Your Girl', 'Changeling', and 'Filigree'.'Moyet's finest album in twenty years.' Clash (2013)
