Golden Earring formed in The Hague back in 1961, making them one of rock's longest-running acts by the time Barry Hay's iconic opening vocal on "Radar Love" first hit the airwaves. This remaster from the original analogue tapes gives that song, and the deeper album cuts that Deadheads and rock obsessives have long treasured, the full-weight vinyl treatment they deserve.

REMASTERED FROM THE ORIGINAL ANALOGUE MASTER TAPES
PLATED AND PRESSED AT RECORD INDUSTRY
180G VIRGIN VINYL
AUDIOPHILE 2LP EDITION
DELUXE TIP-ON GATEFOLD JACKET
12-PAGE BOOKLET WITH LINER NOTES & PHOTOS

Originally released in 1973, Moontan is the album that catapulted Golden Earring to international stardom, primarily on the strength of the hit single and enduring radio favorite “Radar Love”. Eventually reaching #13 on the coveted Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., it was subsequently covered multiple hundreds of times by U2, R.E.M., Def Leppard, and many more. To this day, Moontan is Golden Earring's most successful record internationally—it's their only album to be certified Gold by the RIAA—and certainly paved the way for the Dutch rockers in the United States.

Now, this arguably most important record in the Dutch rock canon is available as a 45RPM 2LP edition for the first time, entirely remastered and restored from the original analogue master tapes by Red Bullet catalogue and band archivist Wouter Bessels. In order to fit the album on four sides, the original LP track order was slightly changed and re-sequenced, revealing some never-before-heard oddities. All this and more is discussed at length in a 12-page booklet featuring essays, memorabilia, and photos.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Candy's Going Bad

2. Suzy Lunacy (Mental Rock)

Side B

1. Are You Receiving Me

Side C

1. Radar Love

2. Just Like Vince Taylor

Side D

1. Vanilla Queen

UPC: 8719262036802
Label: Artone Signature
Release Date: 6.26.26
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0673/7038/5569/files/Golden-Earring-Moontan-Signature-Edition-180g-2-LP-Vinyl.png?v=1791937081
