Zebrahead

Zebrahead is an American rock band from La Habra, California, that has been blending pop-punk and hip-hop since their formation in 1996. The band was originally founded by rapper Ali Tabatabaee, bassist Ben Osmundson, and drummer Ed Udhus, alongside vocalist and rhythm guitarist Justin Mauriello and lead guitarist Greg Bergdorf. Over nearly three decades, Zebrahead has established themselves as pioneers of genre fusion, crafting a distinctive sonic identity that merges the energy of punk rock with the rhythmic swagger of hip-hop. The band's current lineup features Tabatabaee, Osmundson, Udhus, lead guitarist Dan Palmer, and lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Adrian Estrella, who joined in 2021.
Throughout their career, Zebrahead has navigated several lineup changes while maintaining their artistic momentum. Justin Mauriello departed in 2004 following the release of their fifth studio album Waste of MFZB, with Matty Lewis taking over vocal duties in 2005 and debuting on Broadcast to the World (2006). Greg Bergdorf exited the group in 2013, replaced by Dan Palmer, who first appeared on Call Your Friends (2013). The band has since continued their prolific output, releasing thirteen studio albums that showcase their evolving approach to rock and rap fusion.
With over three million records sold worldwide, Zebrahead has cemented their status as influential figures in alternative and pop-punk music. Their willingness to experiment across their discography and adapt to changing musical landscapes has earned them a dedicated fanbase and recognition as trailblazers in bridging the gap between rock and hip-hop genres. The band remains an active force in the contemporary music scene, continuing to tour and record with the same creative passion that defined their emergence in the '90s.
