Yaz was a British new wave and synth-pop duo formed in 1982 by synthesizer player Vince Clarke and vocalist Alison Moyet. The pair achieved major commercial success with their 1983 debut album "Upstairs at Eric's," which featured the hit singles "Only You" and "Don't Look Back in Anger," establishing them as key figures in the 1980s electronic music scene. Though the band disbanded in 1988, their innovative blend of electronic production and soulful vocals continues to influence synth-pop and electronic music today.
