Toys That Kill is a San Diego-based punk rock band that emerged from the ashes of F.Y.P., their predecessor project that spanned from 1989 to 1999. Following the release of F.Y.P.'s self-titled final album, vocalists and guitarists Todd Congelliere and Sean Cole joined forces with bassist Chachi Ferrara and drummer Denis Fleps to launch Toys That Kill. Since their formation around the year 2000, the band has established itself as a fixture on the international punk circuit, undertaking extensive tours across Japan, Europe, and throughout the United States with impressive regularity.
Over two decades of activity, Toys That Kill have built a reputation as a dedicated touring band, hitting the road across North America, Europe, and Asia multiple times throughout their career. The band's members have also contributed to other musical ventures within the indie and punk community, with Congelliere, Ferrara, and drummer Felix collaborating on Underground Railroad to Candyland, another notable act on the Recess Records roster.
