# The Units

The Units were a pioneering new wave and electronic band formed in San Francisco in the late 1970s, known for their innovative use of synthesizers and robotic vocal style that helped define the post-punk electronic sound. The group, led by keyboardist/vocalist Christina Monet and bassist/vocalist Seth Π, released their cult classic album "Digital Stimulation" in 1981, which has since become highly influential in electronic music circles. Though short-lived, The Units' experimental approach to electronic music and their distinctive aesthetic continue to inspire contemporary electronic and post-punk artists today.
