The Skids were a Scottish new wave and post-punk band formed in 1977, fronted by the charismatic Richard Jobson and guitarist Stuart Adamson. Known for their energetic live performances and hits like "Into the Valley" and "The Saints Are Coming," they became influential figures in the punk and new wave movement of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Though they disbanded in 1982, their legacy continues to inspire alternative and punk music fans worldwide.
