Sublime is an American ska punk band formed in 1988 in Long Beach, California, known for blending ska, punk, reggae, and surf rock into a distinctive sound that defined 1990s alternative music. Led by vocalist Bradley Nowell, the band achieved massive commercial success with their 1996 self-titled album, which featured the hit single "What I Got" and became a staple of the era before Nowell's tragic death in 1996. Their energetic live performances and laid-back California vibe continue to influence punk and ska bands today, making them a beloved part of 90s music history.
