Straitjacket Fits was a New Zealand rock band formed in 1986, known for their energetic live performances and distinctive blend of post-punk and alternative rock. The band gained significant popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s with hit singles like "She Speeds" and "Down in Splendour," becoming one of the most influential acts in the New Zealand music scene. Though they disbanded in 1992, their raw sound and punk-influenced approach continue to influence alternative rock musicians today.
