Robert Forster is an Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist best known as a founding member of the influential indie rock band The Go-Betweens, which he co-led with Grant McLennan from 1978 to 1989 and again from 2000 until McLennan's death in 2006. His distinctive lyrical style and guitar work helped define the post-punk and alternative rock scenes, earning him critical acclaim for his introspective songwriting and evocative melodies.
