Lawnmower Deth is a British comedy metal band from the 1980s known for their humorous take on heavy metal, featuring absurdist lyrics and parody songs that blend brutal instrumentation with comedic storytelling. The Sheffield-based group gained a cult following for their irreverent approach to metal, releasing albums like "Fantastic Warts and All" and "Return of the Killer Neighbour," which proved that metal could be both musically competent and laugh-out-loud funny. Despite disbanding in the 1990s, their legacy as pioneers of comedy metal endures among fans who appreciate their unique blend of headbanging riffs and witty, often bizarre subject matter.
