Jungle are a British band formed in early 2013 by London-based producers Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland. The duo's innovative approach to electronic music and production quickly established them as distinctive voices in the contemporary music landscape, blending electronic elements with organic instrumentation to create their signature sound. Since their inception, Jungle have built a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship and artistic evolution across their releases.
The band's debut album, Jungle (2014), arrived with considerable buzz and earned a shortlist position for the Mercury Prize, signaling their significance within the British music scene. They continued their trajectory with For Ever (2018), before transitioning to independent operations through their own Caiola Records label. This move proved creatively fruitful, yielding Loving in Stereo (2021) and Volcano (2023), the latter marking a significant turning point when multi-instrumentalist Lydia Kitto officially joined as a full-time member after contributing as a main musical collaborator and co-writing every track on the album.
Jungle's artistic trajectory has been marked by consistent critical recognition and industry validation. Their BRIT nomination for Group of the Year underscored their standing as one of Britain's most compelling contemporary acts. With the addition of Kitto as a permanent fixture, the trio entered a new creative phase, recently releasing their fifth studio album, Sunshine (2026), continuing their legacy of sonic innovation and artistic ambition.
