Isengard is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 1990, known for their raw, primitive sound and incorporation of folk elements into their dark, atmospheric compositions. Founded by Arnt Grønning, the band has become influential in the underground black metal scene for their uncompromising approach to the genre and lo-fi aesthetic that defined early Norwegian black metal.
