Goldfinger

Goldfinger is an American punk rock band from Los Angeles that has spent three decades defining and redefining the intersection of punk, ska, and pop-punk. Formed in 1994, the band emerged as a key contributor to the third-wave ska movement of the mid-to-late 1990s, earning their place alongside a generation of bands revitalizing the genre's popularity. Frontman John Feldmann has remained the sole constant member throughout the group's evolution, guiding Goldfinger through multiple sonic transformations while maintaining the band's energetic spirit and commitment to social causes, particularly animal rights activism.
The band's early years were defined by their ska-infected sound on albums like their self-titled debut Goldfinger (1996), Hang-Ups (1997), and Stomping Ground (2000). However, with the release of Open Your Eyes (2002) and Disconnection Notice (2005), Goldfinger shed much of their ska influence, pivoting toward the pop-punk sound that would define their later career. The band has since released a steady stream of material, including Hello Destiny... (2008), The Knife (2017), Never Look Back (2020), and most recently Nine Lives (2026), demonstrating their enduring ability to craft compelling punk rock.
As of 2019, Goldfinger's lineup includes Feldmann alongside guitarists Charlie Paulson and Philip Sneed, bassist Mike Herrera, and drummer Nick Gross. The band's legacy extends beyond their chart success and radio presence; they remain influential figures in punk and ska circles, celebrated for their longevity and willingness to evolve their sound without abandoning their punk rock core.
