FKA Twigs

Tahliah Debrett Barnett, known professionally as FKA Twigs, is an English singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and dancer who has established herself as one of contemporary music's most innovative and boundary-pushing artists. After years working as a backup dancer for various musicians, Barnett emerged as a solo artist in 2012 with her debut EP, EP1, followed by EP2 in 2013. Her formal introduction to the world came with her debut studio album, LP1 (2014), which reached number 16 on the UK Albums Chart and number 30 on the US Billboard 200, earning her a Mercury Prize nomination and establishing her as a force to be reckoned with in experimental pop.
Over the course of her career, FKA Twigs has crafted a distinctive sonic identity by drawing from electronic music, trip hop, R&B, hyperpop, and avant-garde influences — a genre-bending approach that has become her artistic hallmark. Following the acclaimed third EP M3LL155X (2015), she took a strategic four-year hiatus before returning with Magdalene (2019), which solidified her status as a visionary artist. After signing with Atlantic Records, she released her debut mixtape, Caprisongs (2022), and most recently delivered her third and fourth studio albums, Eusexua and Eusexua Afterglow, in 2025.
Her work has garnered widespread critical acclaim and multiple industry accolades, culminating in the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Eusexua in 2026. FKA Twigs continues to influence contemporary music and visual artistry through her fearless experimentation and multidisciplinary approach to performance, cementing her legacy as one of the most influential artists of her generation.
