Curved Air was a British progressive rock band formed in 1970, pioneering the use of violin in rock music and becoming one of the first all-female fronted rock groups. Led by vocalist Sonja Kristina and violinist Darryl Way, the band achieved significant success throughout the 1970s with their virtuosic instrumental arrangements and innovative sound. Though they disbanded in the late 1970s, Curved Air reunited periodically and remains influential in progressive rock history.
