Chris Squire was the bassist and founding member of the progressive rock band Yes, known for his distinctive melodic bass playing and powerful vocals that defined the band's sound from 1968 onwards. With his innovative approach to the bass guitar, he helped create some of rock's most complex and ambitious albums, including "Close to the Edge" and "Fragile." Squire remained a central figure in Yes throughout his career until his death in 2015, leaving an indelible mark on progressive rock music.
