Ash Ra Tempel was a pioneering German krautrock band formed in 1971 by guitarist Manuel Göttsching, keyboardist Hartmut Enke, and bassist Carla Ultravox, who became instrumental in shaping the electronic and experimental rock sound of the 1970s. Known for their improvisational approach and cosmic soundscapes, the group released influential albums including their self-titled debut and "Schwingungen" before disbanding in 1973. Their innovative fusion of rock, electronic music, and Eastern spirituality left a lasting impact on progressive and electronic music genres.
