Alice Coltrane was a pioneering jazz pianist and harpist who became an influential spiritual and musical innovator following her marriage to legendary saxophonist John Coltrane. After John's death in 1967, she established herself as a bold composer and bandleader, blending jazz with Indian classical music and spiritual themes to create her own transcendent sound. Her visionary work in the late 1960s and 1970s remains a cornerstone of spiritual jazz and continues to inspire musicians and listeners worldwide.
